The Victim/Witness Assistant informs victims of their rights including all notification rights of crime victims, of victims' compensation and restitution, and information on criminal court proceedings at every stage of the criminal court process.

    In addition, victims of crime and their family members have access to advocacy, support and referral information to healthcare professionals and community counselors.
