Auditors responsibilities: v Processing payroll v Accounts payable and receivable v Preparing the annual budget v Establishing real property tax levies v Apportioning of all tax collections to appropriate taxing districts v Monthly audits of all cash and cash items in the hands of the County Treasurer v Verification of bank account balances performed and reported to County Commissioners as part of the County’s official proceedings v Prepare Annual Financial Reports indicating the receipts and expenditures, liability, equity, and assets of the County and published as required by law. v Generate reports for inventory and fixed assets of each department in the County. v The clerk for the Board of County Commissioners and keeps an accurate record of their official proceedings including the Board of Equalization hearings. v Preserves all documents, books, and records as required by law. v Performs all duties required by law relative to all County, State, and Federal elections held in the County. v Maintains all records of voter registration and election history.
